Especially when used in addition to the normal parts, thus making the bike heavier.

Yep I'd agree with that, but what's the big deal about replacing a part with one of a different colour ?

And why all the hate for stickers?

Because when someone tells you they are going to apply any of them to their bike, it usually indicates an impending taste failure.

And anodised parts are rubbish regardless of taste. I've seen some downright dangerous corroded brake fittings.

Less is more when it comes to stickers...unless it's a proper Race Bike for the obvious reasons.

Anodised fasteners are made of cheese and the colour will fade and look shitty.
