Hey chaps

Might need to rebuild a TZR125 over the coming weeks and eBay has pistons kits-a-plenty and cheaper and easier than yamaha.

Are they OK to use or should I just go OEM?

Also, I think I am right in that I'll need to measure the squish once its back together, and that can be changed by using ally gaskets of varying thickness, so if anyone knows where to get those from, I'd be grateful as well.

Cheers
Thumbs Up

Aftermarket pistons will vary.

Some like Mitaka are really good, some of the cheaper ones on ebay might be made of silver cheese and should be avoided.

Mitaka or Prox for Yamaha pistons. Anything else is a waste of cash.
