CG125 clutch side crankcase refit

i'm an idiot, there i said it

i removed the crank cases off my little cg engine to be polished in work

i have fitted the clutch side, but when i pull on the clutch linkage its not pushing/ moving the clutch.

what i mean is - when i move the linkage with my hand it doesn't really turn an feels like there is loads of resistance

if that makes sense

if i take the case off will i need another new gasket? i havent refilled it with oil yet

what position does the dowel thing (inside the case) with the cut out go on the clutch?!

any ideas>?
