Considering taking off and spraying it with matt black VHT 600c paint.

Any issues I should know about? Anyone done this with good results?

Cheers

painted a few bits with the stuff last week . seems fine

the vht clear laQ did not seem much cop tho was off after 2 rides

might be okay on the cat tho as the temps shouldnt be as bad as where i had used it. but the normal black should be no probs

as long as it has a decent surface to spray onto maybe rub it down a bit with some 600 or more. the stuff sprays heavy idealy a couple of light coats would be best

I used BBQ paint, Make sure the surface is clean before painting.

BBQ paint has lasted on a turbo car manifold.

As Alex said, BBQ paint is brilliant for this sort of stuff! I've seen engine casings painted with this and look very good!

Consider shaving it first so the paint will cover it more evenly Wink
