Hi ive got a ybr 2009, 6000 miles, i bought this for 870.

Ive currently got insurance as tpo, for 405 in total,
. or
Ive got a quote for tpft for 492 0 excess or 425 with 325 excess, and fully comprehensive for 495 with 325 excess, or 689 with 0 excess.

I cans till cancel my current policy and have paid 60 pounds which i think ill get 20 pounds of that back due to Admin charge and duration of cover.

Im not sure of the value of the bike but £1000 is right.

not sure which option i should go for.

for the record there is little chance of bike getting stolen, will be used to go to work, and will be in garage at home, and at work car park in a business park.

Also i want to say thank you to people who gave me advice about my bike, its been fixed and i was charged 20 by the garage, not
sure what the issue was but ill find out when i go pick it up.

Thanks

It depends what you want. I got TPFT because it was cheaper than TPO. If my bike gets stolen, the excess makes it stupid to claim and have a claim on my record so I'll just tell the rozzers and take it as a loss, same if it gets flamed.

Basically, I've got it to be legal and to pay out to any sorry fooker I smash into

Just go for what suit's YOU and mainly what you can afford if you have a low budget go third but party if you have a mid range budget go for Third party, then if a higher budget to spend go fully comprehensive.

try and go for something ( policy ) which has an excess between £250 to £500 be careful as some insurance company's are scamming people when you buy the insurance online so be very careful.

if you do fancy going for a very CHEAP policy with a high excess you can Google search protect my excess Thumbs Up

My advice would be if your not in a High risk area go for third party
if your area is mid risk go third party Thumbs Up

Matt

Zero excess ???

Go back and check the T/C. unless this is just your voluntary part of it.

£870. So if you claim on it you will get not too much back and get loaded in the future.

Why cancel the old policy? As it sounds like it did not have long to run, so unless you have claimed you are losing out on NCB.

My rule of thumb is based on how you can afford to deal if bike goes walkies or you bin it.
