I really don't get the point in spending $65,000 (including the original purchase price) on a half hearted attempt at decent sports bike.
He could've bought a Desmo RR for the same price!
I understand projects like Ariel's Badger - making a bike that fits a certain set of regulations.
But, making up some daft restriction (gotta be a mito) and trying to turn it into something that's already been done much better for much less money just doesn't make sense... ____________________ current: ducati monster 750

Dyno Top Trumps. I'm more impressed by losing a claimed 29kg - while bolting some other stuff on. You know what weighs less and costs less than carbon fibre fairings? No fairings.
As for the claimed power, I'd imagine he'll see that precisely once per rebuild if he actually takes it out road racing.
Anyway, that's only a 2 stroke, if you did that to a proper bike like a Hyosung GT125, you could easily get 2 x 2 strokes for twice that much power. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Yeah it would be a good fun buy if you were a millionaire
but it's pointless, it has NO reliability to it, it's $55,000 you can buy 2 R1'S for that what was he thinking ____________________ RIP jack (wheelie king), you will never be forgotten.

Well, that's the American way
Is that a 4-stroke muffler?
He talks about weight and he's got some multimedia LCD toy on it, does he watch movies while he does 55mph on the 1/4mile? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

1/4 mile? If it goes anywhere except workshop dyno concours I'll eat my lid.
Still better value for money than a Victory Hammer, mind. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Afaik ... It's from Italy, and is a great bike according to un biased mito section on 125
We all did agree it was about 50 k too much money.
For the owners sake, I hope he has lots of money, and does not care. ____________________ Jogging on, destination living. |
