went for a 8 hour ride today . 5 hours of that was spent in rain and heavy showers .
i did not mind to much i was still enjoying myself getting lost

15 minutes from home i go into a nice easy roundabout at about 30 ish and suddenly me and the bike are sliding along with my leg underneath it . i have 0 injuries but my tanks got an almighty dent where its smashed againts my knee , pegs snapped off ,bent brake lever , ripped coat .

pulled it back up started straight back up . pulled my bits off the road and was off . i must of still been in a bit of a muddle because i rode off with my side stand down .

bit pissed off as i had just painted that tank a week or so ago .

i dont think it helped that i had switched the front wheel recently . as i am painting the one i usually use . however i have a spare of different make that has lotts of tread on the tyre

SHITT TYRE Laughing ill throw up the damage pics in a moment

Bad luck on the crash mate, although thankfully you've come off pretty well by the sounds of it.

What tyre were you running on the front then?

cheers rob.
it was a duro brand tyre .
i was only joking about the tyre thing. but those tyres actually are a bit crap especially in the wet

more than anything it was me going to fast on a slidey road in conditions i know better not to on. but im going to blame the tyre because it makes me feel better

shit tyre!!!

well the bikes fixed now and ready to ride tomorrow .bent the lever back and painted it up had to strip the master cylinder it had popped the circlip out inside . tanks depressing to look at . but ill do that when i have time .

ah well . i did winn a tenner on a scratch card when i got home so i guess u could say today has been swings and roundabouts

Roundabout, 30mph and crash is a combination that seems to crop up fairly regularly. I err on the side of cowardice myself and take the buggers at 20mph max.

As above.

With the roads being warm and dry then wet and cold then warm and dry then wet and cold I have found it really greasy out there.

Get bigger bike, definitely felt more stable than my CBR when going over roundabouts at speed.

I've chickened out of wet weather at the minute, I can't have fun and don't enjoy it.

Touched my brake trying to make a corner on a downhill last weekend on Sunday and the bike just lost traction straight away and the wheels locked. Think the persistent rain is making the roads greasy as hell.
