Hi guys.

Would petrol station compressors be powerful enough to seat a motorcycle tyre bead onto the rim?

I don't have a compressor, and while I plan to get one I don't have the money just now.

Thanks for your help.

Some of the electric ones have a button to inflate a fully flat tyre, I have seated car tyres using this so I imagine it will do a bike one happily.

Put some fairy liquid on the bead of the tyre and it will slip onto the rim much easy - maybe even with a footpump Wink

There is a nack, but there are very few tyres that can't be beaded with a double barrel footpump!

bluezedd, take the inner valve core out of the tyre/wheel fist , this allows much better airflow for the initial beading process! Thumbs Up

Put a ratchet strap round the outside of the tyre and tighten it till the bead is close to the rim before inflating with low powered pumps (electric or foot).
