Hi

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Wondering if someone could give me an idea how much a GSXR 400 GK71F ('86) with 25000 miles on the clock would be worth roughly.

Bike runs great, tyres good, pads good. Bodywork not brilliant as you would expect on a bike this old. Lots of scratches on lower fairing and a couple of good scrapes on the exhaust.

Had this bike for a while and thinking about selling and getting something a bit bigger, thinking Sprint 955i. Great little bike but you have to thrash it and not good for long rides.

Have not been able to find any on ebay or classifieds.

thanks in advance.

Hi

Not a clue on the price, but just a note that a small number of these were officially imported.

All the best

Keith

The speedo is in kph, so I guess it is what people call grey import? Not really up on what the difference is, guessing it means designed for Japanese market and then imported afterwards, as opposed to official import where it is designed for UK market? I'm sure someone will put me right!

A Grey import is when the bike is originally sold in another country and is then imported into the country by someone other than the manufacturer. They're still the same bike, but there can be some small differences. Kph speedo, headlight dip direction, noise / emission restrictions & speed limiters.

Thanks for the info.

That one on ebay looks in excellent condition, with lower miles than mine too, wasn't expecting to see one going so cheap in that good condition. Thought as they were quite rare, this would reflect in the price.

They were imported in very small numbers. Think mainly for racing. Would guess that they were imported without being modified for the UK.

All the best
