Bloody Westminster parking ticket

WCC have deiced to decorate my bike with some PCN style decals again!

My permit ran out on Friday so after parking the bike this morning I attempted to purchase a new one using the web on my phone. The Westminster website kept crashing when I got to the secure parking page and gave some gobbledegook error. Thought I would try on a real PC in the office which was 3 meters away.

I parked at about 08:50 at 08:59 I had a ticket

I have sent an appeal in but will see what happens. WCC will quash one PCN for a motorbike permit infringement but I don't know if that's one a year or per bike or per rider. Wait and see I guess.

They're normally fairly good about that - I've had loads cancelled when I've forgotten to switch the permit between my bikes, as well as when I've not been able to purchase the parking due to their IT fail.

I challenged one when exactly the same thing happened to me, they said they would cancel this time but in future not to leave the parking area until the parking was paid.

I had one cancelled before when they didn't send me the text message I requested to remind me. Quite a few other people didn't get the text too so they must have had a problem and refunded me.

That might be my one PCN life but I hope not.
