hey

yes it has happened after just a year riding. Stopped at a juncution to let a police car pass, luke behind me forgets me is only a ped and thinks we can make it and bang hes smacked me up the bum Sad

im ok just shook up and a graze on me leg, nothing major. me ped has a few scrathes. luke's brake lever has fallen off (haha).
the police man was really nice helped pick up the bikes and asked if we are ok. told luke he should pay more attention and that i was in the right.

Pants, well, glad neither of you were seriously damaged, its easy to do, i'm sure many people who ride in a group loose concentration and nearly end up as the person in fronts new rear hugger...

Not that it would have helped in this situation probably but, i try when following somebody, to ride to their side but obviously at a proper distance, than way if they slam their brakes on or their tyre explodes or chain snaps there there is a little bit better chance i won't end up right into it.

Its a bit freaky when you bin the bike, i've never crashed but dropped it when some *@£$ idiot was way too close and couldn't slow down enough to get on a side road, which was covered in gravel so over i went, glad i had my HG gear on, nearly went out in my combats and could have really hurt...

Guess it serves to remind you why its worth having the proper gear ALL THE TIME.

I was out riding years ago with a mate on our NSR's and I stopped as a car was pulling out in front of me. He panicked, locked up and very nearly slid into me. I saw him sliding towards my in my mirrors and moved forward slightly so he didn't hit me!
