Years ago I used to work at a filling station that amongst others employed a doddery old pensioner. One winters evening a customer pulled up in one of those old BMC Farina bodied cars with the petrol filler adjacent to the boot lid fitted with a lock which had this evening frozen up. I was in the kiosk when I spotted this old fart holding a lighted match immediately above the lock slot. I damn' near crapped myself in the rush to get out there to stop him and the daft thing was that the owner just stood there watching him do it. The geriatric old twat then had the temerity to look at me as if I was barmy........you just can't believe some people.
