Hi

Think it varies by state, but something like a bike of a maximun power / litre limit, some time as a learner and then some time on some kind of limited licence.

All the best

Keith

Should be Queensland we go back to.

What I really want to know is do they have any system for "learners" as we do over here - 125 cc and 14ish bhp - or whether I have to do my test before I ride anything? I have a feeling they do, but size is 250cc? But I may have dreamed that Smile

Thanks

Chris

Hi

Think it is probably a 250cc learner limit, but probably excluding stuff like RGV250s.

This thread might might help you:-

When i was there two years ago i was amazed at the number of 250's.

Think the starting bike is 250, opposed to our 125, but like keith said there is power/weight ratios to a rs250 wouldnt be able to be ridden on a learner ticket.

They've hardly heard of 125's and they were amazed that we are forced to ride mopeds and restricted 125's.

Cool, I thought it was something like that.

Looking at the link from the thread posted by Kickstart, it looks like all 250 bar the 2 strokes - That's good, CBR250 is there, which i want - I have a rather worryingly strange attraction to that bike for some reason Laughing

Thanks both Thumbs Up
