So i took the wife out for a spin on Sunday spot of lunch, it was lovely she thoroughly enjoyed herself. We went back to her mums to pick the girls up, she drove the car home and i followed on the bike....This is where it gets a bit funky, pulled into the garage filled up and rejoined the dual carriageway approached roundabout, (A55 junction 16) 400 yards up the road after exiting the roundabout BANG lose power but engine is still revving pull into the inside lane and manage to get the bike off the carriageway...look down ....NO CHAIN and the chain guard is hanging off..........
think someone was looking out for me there.....what an experience.....to be fair after i ran up the side of the road to get the chain and came back to the bike there was a guy in a VW camper van style thing pulled over to check if i was alright ( mentioned he was a biker and saw what happened even showed me his scar on his foot where he was not so lucky) .....a Massive for that guy, never did catch his name....
the chain was new less than a 600 miles ago and i fitted it myself (no idea why it happened but every-so often i guess these things do, just to test you) ____________________ Triumph Sprint 900..Prev-ZZR600-Derbi terra-Mz251-Hyo Aquila |
