hi,

i recieved a pcn today dated 6/9/2012 for riding in a bus lane from the local thieves *cough* i mean council.

iv got one question.. does the notice still stand even though my vehicle make is listed as KTM on the notice, when its a cagiva supercity that has orange plastics with no markings to suggest its a KTM?
the reg is correct btw.

im going now to go take a look to see if there are any signs.. if there isnt this notice does not stand Laughing
well first sign is facing the other way.. yep handy.. but the other two 10meters apart are not.. Mad

thanks,
james.

no just one Laughing
had one 2 months ago in wimbledon.. council gone mad with the fines, been riding in that one in wimbledon for 10+yrs.. and nothing. now the council is broke there killing everyone for fines, theres a big up-roar about that wimbledon one in the local papers. there calling it a 'cash cow'

IMO bus lanes are safer for us bikers than filtering through the traffic or even waiting in it, we take up no more room than cyclists and are in and out of them in seconds but get done for it.. cyclist hold up bus loads of people and cause congestion amongst buses in bus lanes but thats acceptable Rolling Eyes

so.. london borough of mertons parking services Middle Finger Middle Finger have that you skanks!!

hartfield road one way system at the back of the odean cinema. the bus lane itself begins in the left lane just on the bend.. the bus lane runs from the carpark situated to your right as you come round the bend past the bus stands all the way to just past edwards bar at the traffic lights.. beware of it, it IS active, speaking from experience Evil or Very Mad

seeing as nobody has answered my original post, il ask again..

Dunno why they put the make down, they could just use 'Motorcycle, index blah blah blah'.

Anyway, I doubt it matters if they have a good enough photo of your numberplate. My brother went to court to fight something based on the fact that they got the make and model of his car wrong and he got stuffed.

Council may take all way to court as there is a fast track for them for parking offences. However this will just be to get bailiff round.

Try putting your reg into one of those check sites to see what make comes up. If different someone may have put your plate on different bike, a variation on plate clone.

you did the offence, pay it

they WILL take your bike if you don't, or car, or anything else they can get their hands on

they would use the dvla database to find vehicle details, so i'd check with them that your bike isn't a copy of another.

i spent all my years in bus lanes, for 8 years lol, 1 fine, so worked out i paid £5 a year to use bus lanes lol

£130.. £65 if payed within 14days..
iv got nothing to loose starting a dispute, i might get away with it or il still end up paying £65 as they will extend the 'half price period' till after a desicision is made as long as i make the dispute within the 14days of the notice.. seems like their doing me a favor allowing me to have the fine at half price, tossers Middle Finger
