Hey guys I have a few questions, my bike was written off couple of months ago, insurance paid me off and offered me £250 for the bike i said no so i kept my bike in addition the v5 and all the documents. The bike was inspected by the third party (He wasn't a bike engineer), the damage was only panels, so i fixed the bike and now im selling it, i haven't contacted the dvla just yet, and was wondering whether i have to contact dvla prior to selling my bike or could I just sell it without notifying them, basically like a normal bike, and would the second owner of the bike need to re-register it? I don't want to mislead any buyers, and i will mention that the bike is category c! The bike has 2 years mot and 1 year tax, is 61 plate, tell you the truth is in very good condition, is just that the lazy insurers categorized it as a C! Any helpful information would be great!

Cheers! Smile

What 61 plate bike is only worth £250? Shocked

Was it a chinky bike in a box or something?

For category C motorcycle all you have to do to get it back on the road is repair it so that it is of roadworthy standard.

No DVLA, no MOT, nothing. Just repair the vehicle and you are good to go.

If selling, just disclose to the seller that it's a Cat C.
