Hi guys, can anyone suggest a good 125 road supermoto? I'm wanting a four stroke simply because it's cheaper to run. I'm quite big, 6ft3 200lbs, so will need to be solid. I'll pay around £1500-£2000 for a second hand one. I've seen the derbi senda drd 125 sm, what's your view on that? cheers

What is the reason for SM?

Would you prefer a 125 or a 400, if its the latter, grab a cheapy 125 and do thy test Wink

But, not a lot but chinese tat in SM form. If you can find an XT125X, that would be nice.

Well it'll be next year before I'm 17, but from what your saying do you mean buy a cheapy, do my A1 and then swap the bike for a unrestricted 125? I'm confused Confused

Yamaha WR125X would be my choice for a 4 stroke, or XT125X like said above. The WR is quite a porker though, almost 130KG for a 125cc, that is a bit silly but it does look quite nice.

Sadly, it's quite simple for you.

Turn 17 Arrow get a 125 bike that makes no more than 11kW Arrow like it or lump it until you turn 19 and can do the new A2 test.

Sorry, you won't have any other legal options.

The Derbi Cross City 125 is a bit supermoto-ey. Looks good value new at less than a CBF125 - if you stretch your budget a little you could get a new one. Quite a nice bike IMO.

Would say XR as usual.. however it is quite a low bike in my opinion.

I'm 5'11 and can put both feet flat on the floor.

Though it's much higher than the ybr / cg ect!

Thumbs Up

I had a Rieju SMX125 for all of a month before it was nicked but I quite liked it. Couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding power wise but good brakes and handled well...it was actually quite entertaining to ride and I'm not saying that from the perspective of a 17 year old who's never ridden anything better as I'd already been riding for 10 years.

I'd never even heard of them but it popped up very cheap near me when I wanted a 125 for commuting so I bought it. When it got nicked the payout was nearly double what I paid for it too Laughing

I should also add that I am 6ft 2 and they both fit me fine and are both reasonably comfy.
