looking at getting a nexus tablet and found this

From someone with a feedback score of 4 when the retail price is £200 and even Google themselves can only manage £160. I'd say yes it probably is too good to be true.

Don't know much about these things, but as far as I know they can't be 'unlocked' per se as they don't have a sim card. (Can you unlock wifi?)

Unless they mean something else.

you reckon? the guys been a member since 2004 though. and the 8gb retails for 159 and 16 for 199 maybe best to wait and get one off ebuyer

As I understand it...

If it is a scam, it goes like this, they gain access (via phishing emails) to several ebay accounts. They use one to sell and others to provide phony feed back. So the 'four' positives feedbacks seem to be for spangly iphone covers bought by people with lots of feed back which you'd think would be 'a good thing', but not if they've been phished.

I think the con people prefer inactive ebay accounts because while they're still live, the owner isn't monitoring them so activity can go on unchecked. The seller account looks like one of these.

You're lured in with four fake sales then walloped with the big con.

I'd leave it alone, but then, I don't like ebay.

Also, the advice above is coming from a stranger on the internet, I might be a total arsehole.

Don't get one at all. Apple will only have a court case against it and make all your apps illegal. You'll end up with no apps except the camera, which will put an apple watermark on every pictures you take.

And don't even dare think about getting an ipad.

i have dug further and all of the people who have given feedback dont have any feedback score but all joined from like really early im going to go with the idea that pa_broon74 states and take it as a scam, i really want one of these but dont have the money unless someone is selling a used one

Yep, sounds like a scam from a possibly hacked account. Report it to eBay too so that they can shut it down before anyone gets scammed.
