Just thought I'd let you all know that Mike106 had an accident this morning - he's OK apart from a possible broken foot. The bike's a mess, as it slid and hit a lampost.

Usual story, on the North Circular Road, a woman driving a Saab, decided at the last moment to turn into Mike's lane, he was nearside. He slid for 10 metres or so. He has been carted off to Ealing Hospital. He's a bit shocked. I'll keep you updated.

Sorry to hear that, and i hope he recovers quickly and has no problems with claims or anything like that.

Almost happened to me this morning when going past cars at a split road at traffic lights - someone in a Skoda of some sort, Octavia maybe pulled out infront of me from his lane without indicating. To top it off, it had a small sticker on the left side of the number plate saying 'Cheshire Motorcycles' so he clearly worked for a motorbike shop, if it's not women scandinavian-car drivers, old men or complete idiots making riding dangerous for us, it's our own kind when in cages too Evil or Very MadThumbs Down

Cheers all! Just heard from him - foot is thankfully not broken but very badly bruised. I have organised a mini cab to get him home and got the bike to a garage in Chiswick!

Now we worry about how he is going to get from home to work everyday.

If there is decent proof it wasn't his fault he should be able to get a taxi and claim it off the other persons insurance.

Bloody Car Drivers...as an L-Plate Warrior who has ridden mountain bikes in London for the last 15 years, I know full well the dangers of car drivers that don't even look. Don't let her get away with it mate. We have as much right to the road as they do...
