derbi gpr 50 2010 plate battery keeps running down anyone ?

Ive just charged the battery up this morning. I tried to start the bike with the electric start button and it fired up straight. Ive just gone back to the bike about 3 hours later and tried to start it again but it sounds like the starter motor isn't engaging. The bike bump starts perfectly and starts perfect once i charge the battery up.

Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem is ?

bump start the bike to get it running while its running put a multimetre on you battery your looking for 14.5 volts over 5000rpm if thats fine then it could just be a duff battery and time for replacement how old is the battery

I thinking it's 3 years old and ill try and find a multimeter from in the garage and thanks mate

no probs 3 years is about right for the battery but check with the multimetre first see if it is actually charging the battery
