suzuki GS550

Just a curiosity, have an old gs550 from 1978, thinking of transplanting the engine from a GS750, will this fit ? If not would any another motor fit ?

I found that the 750, 850 and 1000 engines all fit the same frame. Not sure if these will fit the 550 frame but a bit of careful measurement should tell you.
