Hi

I want to practise for mod 1, anyone know the distances between the cones for the first bit + figure of 8?!

I read people fail for not hitting the speed limit for the emergancy stop part..... id like to think my 2 stroke wouldnt take too long to hit 30mph, is it possile to fail for going too fast even if you stopped in the right place??

cheers

No.

I have seen people do the e-stop from 75km/h on DAS.

Slalom cones are 4.5m apart, Figure 8 cones are 6m apart

Cheers guys. What's the weight difference like between a 125 and 500?! A couple of local training places escort you to the test centre on a big bike to do DAS without training, I've always been confident on the 125 and would like to think I could familiarise myself with a 500 enough for mod 1

Or is that a bit ambitious?

I found the 500 easier for everything except manual handling.
I have trouble lifting 20kg and have the build of a stick insect.

Granted I'd been riding a 300 in the middle, but I swapped my 125 for a 500, i.e rode the 125 to the bloke's house, got off it, got on the 500 and rode that, and within seconds it felt easier to ride.

If you're being given the opportunity to do a DAS test just for the cost of the test + bike hire, I'd bite their hand off.
