Firstly Hi, I am new here just got back into bikes after along time.
forgot how much i missed them.

so i just got a Rieju rs2 125cc on a 59 plate. Once the engine is warm it seems to want to idle at 3000rpm would this be normal for a single cylinder 4 stroke or should i be looking at the carb. when cold it runs at about 1200rpm.

I know i could take it to a garage but moneys tight and i would rather save the money for tests etc.
Happy to do work myself just not too familiar with bikes....

Yes and you are taking your choke off aren't you? Make sure the choke is not sticking. Then wait till the bike is warm and use half turns on the idle screw until you get a nice idle. Then leave the bike till it's stone cold and make sure it idles without cutting out when cold.

sorry should have said i already thought about the choke sticking so checked it even oiled the cable so that's not a problem.
so going to give the bike a run up the road till the engine is nice a warm then play with the idle screw. thanks for the help.
also my bike will not run from cold without choke Thumbs Up
