Posting this because I've asked around and can't seem to get a definitive answer.

Does there exist a Wingrack fitting kit for the later model (2001-2003) CB500?

I have only been able to find pre-2001, and the sellers seem to think it won't fit.

If that doesn't work, what are my other options? The wingrack seemed ideal really, looks to have good resale value and usefulness due to its' universal nature.

What is wrong with Oxford soft luggage. Lifetime guarantee. Benn using mine since 1994 and they are still going strong.

The main disadvantage is having to carry the luggage around everywhere. I wouldn't want to leave panniers on the bike even if empty, if they were stolen that would mean I have a real issue transporting my stuff home.

Especially given I'll have a tank bag as well, it means carting around a load of bags every time I go into a shop.

Never had a problem. You can lock them to the bike. I dont bother unless touring in this country. I dont even take them with me when i go up to my room an a ferry. Yes if you are a courier or do a lot of touring in GB i see your point. If on a tour all my valuables go in the tank bag and that never leaves my side.

Anyone have a clue if there are any significant changes that would stop the pre-2001 kit fitting?

Maybe I should find an older CB, park up side by side, and look for changes.

If it helps anyone, the aforementioned kit did fit. No problems at all. The mounting points are in exactly the same place as for a Monorack.

Not fitted the Wingrack itself yet but I can see no reason why there would be any issues.
