Bored can't sleep so being nosey ..
What injuries have you live with or through
I'll list some of mine;
* Hit with a full house brick when I was younger took full force on my head (image below of type). Caused slight black out but apart from that no problems at all.
* Fell through greenhouse of glass when I was younger few scratches other than that no damage.
* Broke arm when younger slipped and bone went straight through the skin.
* Bit through lip now have scar- Riding bmx down rocky road, hit a brick and went flying bike landing on top of me and me biting straight through my lip had to eat cheesy watsits for a few weeks was ace.
* With dyspraxia when younger (couldn't walk for more than a mile had wheelchair for that) I went into birmingham hospital for the polo (mri) hated that thing. Wouldn't stay still so was given temazepam forced me asleep for 18hours. Woke up with hospital fast food ended up puking it all over the bed.

Spent my 7th birthday in hospital, fell out of a tree I climbed, 20 stiches under my right arm, which then burst, so had an open wound for several weeks.
LAst year - Broke left shoulder falling from a rope swing, aged 37!!
SMIDSY - fractured wrist, June this year.
I could of now cursed myself and could die on the way home now.

Pretty tame really compared to what some people on here have/are suffering with. NHS has put me back together quite well. ____________________ Quietly and consistently taking the piss.

When I was 8 I was jumping on old mattress when I caught my leg onto one of the springs, it dug in and pulled just as I was going up
Result: Scar covering half of my lower leg.
About year after that I got two scars from cutting my arm whilst swimming in the sea (caused by some chunk of metal).
That's about it. Oddly enough, I'm yet to break a bone ____________________ 09' Versys 650 | 07' FJR1300A |

Snowboard accident, caught an edge going up a kicker, landed on my back, all the force went laterally and I fractured my femur head, left one half in the hip socket and the other half dislocated so my leg looked shorter than the other .
They gave me so much morphine in the helicopter i apparently nearly slipped in to a coma.
ended up in traction for nearly 2 months and rehab took another 2 months. Was told there was a 30% chance I may not be able to walk properly again.
In hospital they drilled threw my leg to put a rod through that they attached the string and weight to for the traction. This got infected and some idiot junior doctor tried to unscrew it with no anesthetic. The bone had grown around the screw thread on the rod and as they unscrewed it i heard the screech of metal on bone and then the hit of the pain. Nearly passed out, the doctor got a severe bollocking from the ward nurses and they took it out under general
The worst thing apart from the obvious pain, was the time in traction, I was so bored i nearly lost the plot as I couldn't leave my bed in all that time.
Other than that just a few broken fingers and ribs from rugby and the usual dodgy old knees (still playing though!) ____________________ 2013 ZX6R 636 |

Pointless going thru adult injuries. My falling-off-bike exploits are nothing compared to some of you.
But off the top of my head, when I was a kid:
I put my arm through the wringer of the washing machine.
No major damage.
I carved the top of my middle-finger with one of those lino-carving tools. Some claret, small scar.
I used to wind my mum's dog up by taking his bone off him when he was eating it, hence I have several small scars on my hand (he was only a Maltese).
And I fell off the bed and cracked my head open when I was about 4 years old. My mum could probably still find the scar if she had a mind to.
When I was about 18 I was given a set of roller skates for my birthday. I had been a dab hand at it when I was a kid, used to beat everyone on the roundy roundies, but that was when I was about 9. Somehow I managed to get away with wearing them at work, and whilst rolling down a slight incline from one building to another I lost my bottle, and ended up rolling into a parked Mini. I can confirm that the bumpers on Minis are not all that low, really, in fact, they are approximately at the same height as the small dent which remains in my left leg to this day. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Oh yeah. And when I was about 8, I also fell off a top bunkbed, onto the floor, where there was scattered a collection of metal bottle-caps with Peanuts characters on the inside which I was collecting.
Made a bit of a mess of my face, that did
I must have been a bit of a nitwit, now I come to think of it.
To show off to my (younger) sisters, I used to climb out of one bedroom window and back in through the other (it seemed perilously high at the time, but when I grew up and went to have a look at the window as an adult, it was only about 10 feet off the ground)
... but somehow I never fell off there. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

I've never broken anything, but I always used to wish I had so I could get my cast signed by all the other kids. Grew outta that.
Jumped off a wall backwards once, didn't leave enough clearance and caught my shin, scraped enough off to be able to see the bone
Went over the handlebars of my pushbike, still got a scar on my elbow from that - probably because rather than take care of it my mum just wrapped it up in a tea towel and told me grandma would look after me tonight cos she was going out
Hit my head really hard (can't remember how now) and every time I pressed the bit I hit (in between my eyes), i got a pins and needles sensation right in he middle of my brain. Went away after a few months, was getting worried!
Last day of work in a bar, fell off the tiniest of step out the staff room, went over on my foot, had to go home early cos couldn't walk. Weeks later it was still black and blue, and even to this day (4 years on) it hurts if I kneel down on my legs with my feet underneath me
I'd say I've been pretty lucky! Some crazy injuries I'm hearing from you guys, it's like a bunch of the raggy dolls! ____________________ What would you do in life, if you knew you could not fail?

only injuries ive ever sustained (less sprains, torn legiments popped joints etc) was a crash i had on 90 mile beach in an old coupe i had, was doing about 90mph in a constant drift slide all the way up and back down the beach,
hit a soft bit of sand while sideways,
wheel dug in and snapped at the axle, causing the car to flip 7 times over 300 meters,
smashed my sholder, broke my hand in numerous places, and remained unconscious for 2 days,
luckily my passenger just got a small cut on his knee,
all in all, it just proved i am invincible ____________________ the humans are dead
