So after a while of looking with no luck iv finally found a bike which im buying.
Its a xr 125 in pretty good condition, will post pics when it arrives.
The question im now asking myself is about insurance so any advice would be good.

Im 19 and have 3 years no claims but im getting quoted around 400 TPFT with no less than £500 excess. ( the price goes to £550 if paid monthly)

This compares to just over £250 for TPO with bennetts.

I'm thinking TPO would be the best bet as the bike is costing me 1000.
So with TPFT i would pay 700 quid ( extra premium and excess ) if the bike was stolen so that i could get 300 from the insurer. And also 5 years of higher premiums due to claiming.
Whereas with the cash saved from going TPO i could get a cyclone v2 alarm and also some mechanical security.

Whats your thoughts?

Also wanted to add, cheers to all the members who gave advice when i was debating bikes.

Where's it going to be stored?

I mean, geographic location, and street / driveway / garden / garage?

If it's anywhere even remotely pikey or pikey adjacent, and if it's out on view, then an Almax and ground anchor are the minimum you'll need.

Will be kept in my garage, which is a shithole, but at least out of sight.
Plan on getting a ground anchor and decent chain to keep in their and then something else for carrying about.

Hmm, borderline, but I personally would go TPO if it's garaged. It's a tough call at that value.

TPO might seem the better option, but theft is potentially the more likely need you'll have to be calling your insurer. Fitting a cyclone alarm isn't a bad idea really, where I used to live we had a real problem with bike theft. I lost a couple of peds, then fitted a Cyclone which helped, 3 attempts were made and they didn't get it. Securing the bike with a descent ground anchor will also help, basically do what you can to make it difficult. A descent set of locks on the garage it's being stored in will also be needed.

As Roger said, it's a tough call.
