Hi guys and galls,

Posted a few times, but decided to ask a bit of a newbie question.

Background:-
Mid 40s, riding my lad's 50 aorund on my full car licence for about a year now and getting more and more hooked on the whole bike thing.

Looking at getting myself sorted on 2 wheels so after a bit of research into costs for bikes, it looks like it is cheaper to buy and insure a 400 after doing Direct Access than it is to buy and insure a 125 and pootle around for a while first (£1500 for a VFR400, £150 fully comp just passed test, £2000 for a Rieju RS3 125, £180 fully comp as a learner)

To me this is a no brainer, so looking to get the bit of paper that allows me to go quick Smile

Anyone got any ideas of who/where to contact in Ceredigion, preferably Cardigan, who would give me the required to do the DAS and on the road whilst the sun is still here this summer.

Cheers

Mike

InB4 Tef!

At this time of year, if your main criteria is "ASAP" then you're going to have to just ask around all the local training schools, nobody is going to be able to tell you how chocka they are.

What you should do first though is get your Theory test booked ASAP. Yes, you have to sit one. No, it doesn't make any bloody sense.

dolly. there's a chap called roy up at dalton's atv's in talsarn who i'm doing my cbt with, he does DAS training if that's close enough to you? if not, have a google, and i'm sure there'll be something down your way or just into pembs somewhere.

don't know what's going on with his site, but the contact info is good. give him a bell as he's very slow with email replies.

Apologies I can't help you with your question...

...but the title of the thread made me think that someone was going to be asking whether it was acceptable for them to wear a cardigan for their CBT/DAS course Laughing

Just seconding Ocatoro: I did my CBT with Roy and a lesson for Mod 1 and Mod 2. He's a great guy who will definitely see you through your tests Thumbs Up

Is there a reason you're comparing a 20 year old bike to a 1-2 year old bike?

To make the numbers work? Wink
