Well done Thumbs Up

I've found Mod 2 less nervy than Mod 1. Best of luck. Have you got a date for it yet?

Good job, chap. I don't know why they even tell us about minors on a pass, the only possible response is "And why would I care?" Laughing

exactly hahaha

the examiner was sound though

i was talking to him about the changes next year and he said he supports the idea but not the way the have gone about it, and that its going to shut quite a few people out of trying for a bike license because of the fuss haha

Thumbs Up

im really glad i have passed though, i hate the maneuvers the fact your locked in with the examiner just adds more nerves on top ha

Well done. That's the tough one out of the way! Being right under the examiners nose is difficult, because every cock-up is seen. Not so on the Mod 2, as long as you cancel your indicators, do visible obs and follow the road signs to the letter.
Good luck.

I've passed my mod1 on second attempt and mod2 first time. And I found it bit easier, just nice ride in the town - took wrong exit on the roundabout, he mentioned it over the radio, but says it is fine and just carry on.

You will fine.

You can't fail for going the wrong way as long as you don't say you did it on purpose lol... My instructor told me to do it if I didn't feel comfortable going the direction I was told too. ie 3rd exit on roundabout and right hand lane is gonna be difficult to get into safely just carry on over Very Happy

I had a look at my local mod 1 test centre on google maps and the thing that worries me are all the other punters watching.

nice one mate Smile Mod 2 is a hell of a lot easier than Mod 1, just a ride around for half an hour, which is alot shorter than you think Smile

I had my Mod1 at 8.15am which was the first one, so I assumed nobody would be watching...however just as I was about to do the u-turn I noticed 3 bikers pull up and watch me....it added a bit of pressure I guess, but because I did well i actually enjoyed being watched. I think those watching were up next, so I think them watching be do it really well probably heaped pressure on themselves.

You'll be fine though.....once you're inside the compound its like your in your own little world, I found it quite surreal really. I mean it was 8am and here I was in this strange deserted compound in the middle of nowhere, with a sea of different coloured cones and some old bloke telling me what to do next...lol..its not your normal start to a day is it.

Good luck anyway

Hope for rain, they all stay inside waiting then Razz At least they did when I did mine, I think... to be honest, you won't even notice them, they're far away enough to not be in your face and you're concentrating so hard you kinda just forget that anyone could possibly be watching.

Good luck!

And well done to the OP xxx

I think it depends how your centre is set up. The one I did mine at had the U turn right at the entrance gates, so you were literally about to do your u-turn, facing people watching behind the fence about 6 metres away

I hadn't noticed them till then! But thankfully I did a good U turn (phew) too good in fact....I ended up only needing half the width to turn so I ended up straightening up halfway across, so I had to swerve out again after to pull in on the white line next to the examiner. I had been practising with 6m widths rather than 7 and still leaving plenty of space, so when I got to the Mod1 test the width appeared huuuuge.

On the flip side, on the slalom Id been practising at smaller gaps of 3m, but when I got into the compound I coulda sworn the cones were closer than they should be....hahaha, .
