Only negative points being someone tried to nick it and so it was dropped on its side, I repaired and repainted the fairing and it's not noticeable unless you look for it, it also left a tiny dent in the tank.
Also some of the footpeg paint has flaked.

So, what do you reckon?

Cheers!

I'd say someone would pay £700-900 quid for that. Seems good condition and low miles with extras that aren't tarty crap. Bike is worth more than that but I doubt anybody would pay more than £900 quid.

I'd agree with matt but sell the bike without the boxes, sell them apart from the bike an you'll make a few quid more.

Agreed, strip off anything of value, and accept that the bike is 23 years old. It's going to be the bike-of-last-resort for most buyers, no matter how good its condition. Sorry.

If i hadnt just brought 2 other bikes i'd pay £800 for that.
Looks good, try Autotrader before the bay though, cos yno, ebay is cheap, Autotrader is generally a better way to make money i find.
Might even get above 1k for it if you find the right buyer

Have to agree with Roger, as harsh as it sounds you are getting to the stage where the luggage is worth as much as the bike.

It doesn't matter how good it is, it's got to that age where people will only pay 6 - 700 max.

I think it looks lovely but it's still an old bike.

There are 3 ways to go here IMO....

As said above, strip off everything of value and sell them separately.

Strip off everything and use it as trade in to a dealer against another bike. (depending on what you are buying this could be quite a good way to sell it) and obviously sell the luggage separately.

Keep it as your winter hack. If you aren't desperately in need of the money, keep it. I would do that personally.

List it in Practical Sportsbikes magazine, and put it up for £1200 with no luggage. Sell the luggage seperately. It'll sell if it is in as good nick as the pics suggest.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Errr.... because it is exactly the era, type, colour and condition of bike that they love.

All opinions taken in. Cheers lads.
I think I could make up to 1200 for the absolute right buyer, and without the damage and footpegs I think 1500 because it would be getting on for a mint bike then. One sold in Fowlers in Bristol a good while back in for about 2500.
I think I'll be selling the bike and everything with it for about 950/1000, simply because of its condition and it all the consumables are in very good condition (and the amount of people who come up to me and asked if it's been restored). Or maybe I am being naive.
I could probably make more money selling off the extra bits but I am just too lazy to be doing that..
I bought it last year with 9000 miles for £800 so hopefully won't lose too much money on it.
