hi really simple one, thought id ask before doing it.... its a simple unbolt old one off, new one bolts on. but should it have a rubber seal? or some of that white tape stuff that plumbers use??

There would normally be a fibre gasket or an o-ring that fits round the bottom of the stub on the tank.

You can use PTFE tape if you want. I use it on petrol taps.
