Righto, having had a couple of big moments recently on the Island 'roads' in the wet, I have decided that a fully faired sportsbike really isn't the way to go during winter. They have covered the roads in that dressing shit and in the wet they are lethal, shiny and I really don't want to wreck this bike.

So, looking for either a sale, or a swap for something more hack like to survive the coming winter months. CB500 or ER5 or GS500 perhaps?

Anyway, bike is a 2003 CBR600RR with 21k on the clock. The bike has been reframed, so I took the liberty of doing a HPI check as anyone interested will probably do.

Worth saying the reframe was performed with a brand new blank frame from Honda after the frame was damaged during maintenance work by a local garage.

I have owned the bike for 2.5 months, I swapped for my Bandit to use during the summer months as a fun commuter, and in that time I have done roughly 2000 miles. I took it to the bulldog bash where it ran an 11.7@120mph, and used it every day as a commuter. It has never let me down.

Tax till Aug 2013 and MOT till April 2013, with a new set of Maxxis Supermaxx tyres and Renthal grips the bike needs nothing. The bike was serviced before I took ownership of it and is totally standard apart from a DID gold c+s set, grips and tinted screen. Bike has Honda dealer service history up till 12,000 miles, and further receipts after that in a documents wallet. Maintenance receipts run into the thousands.

Bad points are a couple of touched up stone chip marks here and there, a boot scuff on the exhaust heat cover and other little niggling wear and tear things you expect on a nearly 10 year old 20k+ bike.

Pics from today after a brief wash (pissed down last night Evil or Very Mad ):

Sorry about the quality, I'm presently using a shit phone camera.

I also have these, taken with a proper camera shortly after I took ownership. It still looks like this (well, except with new tyres and matching grips) with a decent polish and a love.

If you are interested, drop me a PM. Bike is only for sale on here for now. Like I said, looking for a trade for something like a GS for hacking about on in winter, or maybe a large engined traily.

I might be tempted to let the bike go for £2300.
