Normally put you on a 125 just to see how you get on and you have some common sense. Some schools insist on a day with the 125, others it's just a half day or couple of hours orientation if you're ok.

My DAS we did the CBT one day, then a day on the road on the 125cc, then two days on the 500cc, then the test the day after.

I booked a 2 day training DAS with MOD1 on the 3rd day morning, told them via email I'd done my CBT 18 months earlier and not ridden anything since. Didn't even meet them till I went for the first day.
They put me straight onto the 500 when I turned up, did some safety talk stuff, 30 mins round the car park then off onto the road

I went straight out on a 500cc bike without a 125 session, quick briefing then off we went. I had a while riding my 125 and a brief wobble on a bandit but I explained that on the phone when I booked in.

I was straight onto an ER5 for my DAS.But! I had previously done my CBT with the same school.

I did my DAS witht the same people I'd done my CBT with three weeks before. They threw me the keys to the 500 and I had 10mins in the car park while they locked up, and then we were away. That was my second time ever on a bike, so if I was considered OK like that, you should be too. Enjoy yourself!

It's entirely down to the individual training school that you've chosen to go with... apparently without bothering to ask them what your money is buying you.

On my das i did the cbt from 8:00 in the morning till 2:00 then spent the rest of the time on a cbf600 for the rest of the week . Then when i passed my mod2 test instructor took of my l plates off and said see ya back at my place
