Hi guys,

As you're all up to date with the latest and greatest stuff & I need to go to bed soon, can anyone point me at how to get soothing music in my helmet for those long and boring bits (and Rock for the twisties Twisted Evil ).

I'm guessing streaming from my phone would be easiest by bluetooth, but then how do you control volume etc while riding, with gloves?

Or is it just bite the bullet and finally buy an MP3 player and have cables running here and there (all my music is in mp3, but used to play mostly in the car where I've had a HD with all my music on connected up for years now).

And will I need to start plugging my helmet in at night to charge?

And, yes, I understand the risks of reducing my ability to hear my surroundings, but having a tiny radio with ear-phones never killed me on a pushbike. I used to only use one side a lot of the time, anyway...

Well, now I'm awake again, looked at bluetooth units and thought f-off, far too expensive, (and I've already got 2 helmets, but thanks for link anway).

Dug out my phone's box for instructions on how to use it as an mp3 anyway and found there's a set of earbud speakers anyway in the box Embarassed

So I'm going to use those for a bit and see how I go. Would like to be able to control volume on the move tho...

I imagine anything that doesn't play directly into your ears will be inaudible past 40mph.

I use in-ear headphones and even then it gets difficult to hear my music.

Errr, do you get one of those ladies in the box? Laughing

Mind you girls, never heard of ATGATT?

After riding: I need different headphones as the supplied ones have a "cool" bar sticking out the top that catch my lid as I put it on so the speaker falls out, and they don't seal anything like well enough to stop any wind noise at all. So double hearing damage today Laughing

But I can work the volume up-down control on the side of the phone through my jacket with gloves on, so that's not a problem after all.

At least posting here has made me get my finger out and get it sorted at last!

What about a GPS/phone holder that clamps on the handle bars? I use one for my phone and use a Speedo app because my Chinese Speedo is a liar. I don't listen to music because I haven't been riding long and don't want to break concentration but the holder has a small hole in the bottom for ear bud cable or you could use a Bluetooth set I guess. Anyway volume control, switching to phone call, skipping tracks n changing albums can be done through the water proof window with gloves on. I mean this is all assuming you have a modern phone to put in it mind
