If you haven't done a CBT in the last two years, then you're not legally allowed to ride a 125
You have three choices;
1) buy a 125 and take your tests before Jan 2012. That'll give yuo two years on 33bhp, then anything.
2) do a DAS course now, will allow anything
3) a combination of 1 & 2. Potter around on a 125 for a few months, then do a DAS in the New Year. ____________________ Honda Goldwing GL 1000 Current love

Sorry, don't know who you've checked with, but check this out;

| Quote: | If you have a car driving licence
If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 you don't need to complete a CBT course to ride a moped. However, the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) recommends that you do.
If you want to ride a motorcycle you must apply for a provisional motorcycle licence and then complete a CBT course. |
You can ride a moped ,classed as 50cc and less than 32mph, but not a 125. You've probably got a provisional motorbike licence, should be on your paper part, but that doesn't allow you on the road without a CBT. And you must show L plates until you've passed your full motorcycle test. Definately no pillions before a full test.
Sorry, but you're not legal at the moment. Whether you'll get pulled? Probably not , but if you do, then they can throw the book at you. No licence, no insurance (being invalidated as you've no licence). I'd get a CBT booked pronto if I was you, but it's your choice. ____________________ Honda Goldwing GL 1000 Current love
