8.5k I'd get a 75 quid bike for my tiny mileage, spend 3k on a car, and stick the rest in the bank.

Or if it had to be on a bike, I'd get a nicely restored gold star or brough superior if it would stretch to it, and get it in dry storage.

I would have my loverly Hornet 600. I would get it re-jetted to get rid of the horrible vibrations at 7k. The rest of the money would be used for the insurance!

If I didn't value my licence it would be a ZX10 probably, though by the sounds of it I wouldn't be complaining at a R1 or GSXR1000 either really Smile

alternatively something that has better gas milage than the CB and can take the additional milage I'll be doing after June 25th (communte going from 40 miles per day to 70)...urmm...dunno, cannot think of anything that would be suitable...Bandit 12?
