Hi Guys n Gals,

My name is Nick and I passed direct access five years ago and haven’t looked back since. I originally wanted a sports bike but decided to take the advice of most of my biking buddies (who for one reason or another no longer have bikes) and went for something a little more sensible and forgiving. My first bike was a naked 600 Bandit. I lasted 12 months on that before I stupidly took a test ride on a K7 GSXR 600 which inevitably meant I bought one. I lasted almost 3 years on that and then bought a 2009 Fireblade which I went to the 2011 IOM TT on. I decided I was going to flog it when I came back from the island as it was a lot of money sat there depreciating in the garage and I wasn’t using it enough. Being the fussy git I am I would only sell it for something special as I tend to be very anal when it comes to the condition of a bike. I eventually found my current bike (will post some pics in the relevant section) a K4 GSXR 1000 which is actually a 2007 registration as some bloke bought it brand new and then left it sat in his conservatory for 3 years until he decided he would register it. I will be keeping it as I absolutely love it and I have spent a small fortune on it. I live in Oldham (Manchester) and can be found annoying the locals with my loud, flame popping Gixer around the Saddleworth roads and I also pop over to Hollingworth Lake in Rochdale quite regularly. I am also hoping to meet new riding buddies and discover some new routes as all the good ones I know are now getting a little boring. I don’t know if this is allowed but I am on another forum but all the members seem to live and meet up bloody miles away so I am hoping for some local peeps to meet up with at weekends. Only if it’s dry though as I am one of them big softy fair weather riders.

Please don’t think I am a hooligan. I enjoy a nice bimble as much as the next person but also like to wring its neck when in the mood which is usually when I am out on my own.

…….Jesus that’s going to be coming out in hardback!!

Tally Ho

Oh my ride........GSXR 1000.

Bike looks awesome!

I'm from Manchester too, right near the Trafford Centre. You ever nip down south to Matlock Bath and/or Cat and Fiddle? Just Derbyshire in general really.

My riding seems similar to yours, like a bit of a bimble but do enjoy a good blast when the roads are clear and the mood takes me.

Looks like the bike from Stu-Pid Riding.
I like the Rizla design, actually. A big Middle Finger to the 'no cigarette advertising' laws. Laughing
