Well, the good news is that anything you do is definately an upgrade. Including buying him some shoes with really thick soles so he can drag them on the floor to slow it down.
Umm. The main issue will be the fork diameters. I wonder if a wire wheel front end off a CG125 would fit? They have a drum brake but it's still better. Many small hondas of that era have interchangeable parts.
A TLS front end off a CD175 would be very cool but probably just as scarce (if not more so) than the parts you need.
I can confirm that it would be very difficult to fit the front end off a later CB125 twin, or even the brake calliper having had the two models parked next to one another in my garage a few years back pondering that exact question.
EDIT: The CB100N has the same (rubbish) cable operated brake calliper. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
