So i've just renewed my CBT and bought myself a bike a few days after. So i went out and bought a 2004 Aprilia rs125. Took my old man with me so he could have a look at it n he seemed happy with it.

So anyway i gave the guy the cash and it stalled. He managed to get it going again but we all thought it just needed warming up and a good ride. Its just had a top end rebuild about 200miles ago. I got it home stalling once due to it not wanting to stay alive when you came to a stop, also loosing my speedo (stopped working) so i didn't know how fast i was going as it was the first time i had ridden the thing, so i wasn't sure of my speed in any gear.

I cant really send it back as he sold it to me as spares or repairs because of the starter motor not working and he was going to break it as someone had bought it on ebay but not paid up.

So now i have got a new starter for it, new spark plug and suppressor cap, cleaned the carb and adjusted the mixing and idle settings to a good setting for the bike.

It now runs fine on idle and starts on the button Thumbs Up

I took the speedo cable out and found it wasn't broke. I put one end into the speedo drive and spun the wheel. The cable didn't spin Mad So now i've got to get hold of a speedo drive and they're like £40 on ebay Shocked

Going to do a bit of hunting round first though i think.

So now i've told you a bit about the bike so far i will add some pictures so it looks better than its sounds Laughing

Not too shabby. How much did you pay for it?

Too much as spares or repairs as we didn't think it was going to be too bad. Not that it is bad just could have been better for £1200. Its covered just over 25000km.

As i mentioned above about the rebuild, its also came with new chain and sprocket, rear tyre, tax and MOT till August next year.

Im hoping if i maintain it well i may get that back next year when the new law comes in, if i'm lucky Very Happy

Yeah I would say it is worth that normally, but not as spares, you should have haggled him. Especially as it was stalling and stuff! Oh well, didn't cost you much to sort and now you've got a nice bike. Well done bro Thumbs Up
