Gear leaver problem.

Hi,, new here, just asked in the chat room about this problem and got abused and told to get cancer......Its all good fun though.

I was told to try here.


My gear leaver doesn't seem to be working, its no longer rigid, it is just limp and flops down where first gear should be, it wont change gear when pressed, but will if i use pliers.

I have tried tightening and loosening the screw but it wont tighten or come off.


Its a YZ125, if you need anymore information i would be happy to give it to you.

Post two pictures. One of the linkage if it has one and another with you pressing the lever down. Close ups and post them here.

If it is a YZ125 it will be a motocross bike with no linkage.

But it sounds as though the problem is with the internal return spring or with there being no splines left on the gear selector shaft or the gear lever
