Sold a bike to a trader about a year ago sent off the yellow slip, moved house shortly after and forgot about it, just went back to the old house and found the usual £80 fine letter waiting for me.

Do I ignore and get on with my life or respond to it telling dvla to stfu and leave me alone as I sent the slip off anyhow?

You have done your bit by sending it off, I assumed you told them about the change of address too so would ignore it.

I ignored mine, started to get letters from the debt collection agency, so rang them and told why I wasn't paying it and that I never would so save your postage costs, and didn't hear from them again.
