Hello to all as I'm new here but I have a problem that's making me crazy. I have a 2005 Derbi Senda SM50. The tail light blows within 2 miles of driving after installing it. I have installed a new regulator because I was told it was putting out to much power, but the power went from 14.5 volts with the old regulator up to 15.2 volts with the new one. I am now looking at the wiring looking for a short because I have checked the wiring to the tail light and found that I have 2 wires out of 3 going to the light which shows as a ground wires. I believe there should only be 1 according to the wiring diagram. This check has been done with the light assembly disconnected to rule out the light assembly. Is this correct that it should have only 1 ground wire or is the voltage to high? Thank you

Voltage is fine. Is the assembly vibrating too much? Maybe it's lose one of its rubber damping pads, if it has one, or maybe it's loose, or the bulb holder itself is loose?

Yes thought of that but what about the 2 ground wires? Is that correct?

Yep, that'll be a loop in and out. Thumbs Up

Check for loose connections too - they can cause bulb failure.
