Just purchased this today off ebay for £570!

https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/q71/s720x720/1012371_10151800445265712_1519840516_n.jpg

Bike came with fulcrum wheelset, upgraded XT groupset... Quite a good bargain for a full susser with 120mm fronts.

With all my bikes now

Evening all, newcomer alert! Nice to see I'm not the only cycling fan on here too, some cracking bikes in this thread alone!

My 'main' ride is one of these...
https://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/bikes-and-gear/bikes/road/1255434932108-qnk1sjwez56b-500-70.jpg

...love it to bits, my first proper road bike and I've done probably a good 2,000 miles on it now.

Bought a new mountain bike last year to 'do' Llandegla on. I've only been once though and that was four days ago!
Impressed with the bike though, always been a fan of Treks as they seem really well built...

I'm also bang into classic roadbikes, have a few here and sold a few more recently to fund my 'habit' of the others!

This is a very recent purchase which again I love to bits. I think the sort of 1970s era was the best for bikes, due to funky colour schemes etc. It rides really nicely too...

And this I've just sold to fund some others...

I have a few more pictures of current and former bikes too if anyone wants to be bored enough to look at them!

FINALLY ... he managed to talk me into a bicycle and bought me one for my birthday.

Its not nearly as posh as all this lot, in fact its old, slightly rusted, and has a very girlie basket, something rattles loosely at the back, and I've already fucked it up by getting my trainer caught in the wrong place and jamming a pedal into the chainguard so it has to go to the shop to be fixed ...

So now I just have to talk him to releasing his "private footage" of me cycling down the only flat part of the A13 into public circulation ... for your amusement and hysterical laughter.

Two Stroke, you are after my heart. I own 23 push bikes at home, I would take a picture but I would have to put them all in one place or take loads of pictures. I have all sorts of bikes. I might actually join in this game, I might get all the bikes together tomorrow.

Hey, don't encourage me or I'll just sit here making more posts showing what I have and had!

Still got this Kona, bit small for me (to put it mildly) but very well equipped. I'll possibly by a newer, much bigger frame and swap the bits over

Far too small but it's ace anyway so I don't care

Another that's too small but gets lots of attention on the odd time I take it out

That last one looks very unusual and cool. I am such an idiot, I was playing with my 1958 Raleigh today and I didn't even think about this.

Here's my fixie the first day I finished it, pretty easy project, just the wheels and then some odd bits here and there, If I was doing it again, I would save myself a lot of money by just welding up the freewheel, was originally a MTB.

here's just a load of them piled together, not all of them however.

I bought a fixie to make a fixie out of one of my spares bikes, the Puch 10 speed FreeSpirit frame I have. Because I love the modern fixie too much I couldn't bear to break it for parts though!

What's the old bike with the ladies type frame you have there? I've got a 1935 BSA and a 1950's Hercules kicking about which I haven't ridden in ages.

I have a 1933 Raleigh, my great grandads, he was 6ft 8 and it is HUGE. The ladies bike is a 1952 Triumph, at the back of the pic is a 58 raleigh, i also have an old Humber.
The triumph is a doner bike, the frames snapped, i may fix it one day. I had a red Phillips Phaser as well, i lost that in the garden somewhere. I got a 90's speccy rockhopper for free recently.
I love my fixed gear though because it is so garish, you can see it on the right of the pile before i trashed the drivetrain, this is why I transformed it.
Yesterday, after promising my mum that I would stop, I came home with an 80's ish road bike, found it for a tenner, not too bad either.
I don't know if you ever encounter this; bike out for scrapman, you ask to take it instead and then they want charge you! They were happy for the pikies to make money out of it but when I want it for bits they want some payment when the scrapman wouldn't pay them. It's annoying.
Rant over.

Along with the other 30 or so vintage BMX's that I have in my collection, here is my latest one.

A 1976 LRV Moxie monoshock.

/\

That's something else! 1976 with a shocker, that must be mega rare/collectable?

Fladdem: I sometimes ask the scrapmen direct if they have bikes on the back but I always worry about how they got them themselves. One local bloke is ok though, but he does try for top dollar as he reckons there's a man buying them off him for good money to export. Not sure if this is actually true, probably more like he wants to get a few extra quid for them as they can't be worth much weighed in.

That BMX is phenomenal. I have never owned a BMX, I really want to get a vintage one, but I think I'm too tall, I'm 6 foot 5 and have always felt too tall on them, yet I love them.

Two Stroke: My Phillips came from a scrapman, I swapped my mums washing machine for it, it only needed the tyres pumped up and a bit of cable tweaking. It turns out, my dad lent it to my great uncle, his uncle, as he needed a bike urgently, at least I know where it is now, I'll probably get it back eventually too. Smile

Bikes aren't worth much weighed in because of all the plastic casings, tyres, mixed metals, I once scrapped a couple of Apollo frames I had knackered and some other stuff, me and dad filled his land rover with scrap, and they gave us a £15 for the mixed scrap. He might be selling them, as he would get more for it that way, even for a tenner each he'd get more than scrapping them.

This is my boardman

https://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y394/grimeric/image_zps33c4c26d.jpg

Team frame with carbon forks and 105/ultegra/dura ace road bike drive chain.

I built it myself so I could get to grips with how to build repair bikes. I'm aware that the seat post is back to front on this picture but it was taken after a quick mock up.

This is another of my vintage bikes (I have about 20-30 of them), this is a 1970 factory Schwinn Stingray, which is a replica of Bob Devitts bike (schwinn factory rider in the late 60'- early 70's.

Dan, that's a pretty one! Lately I bought an Orbea racing bicycle, red as well. But it doesn't look that beautiful since it is several years old.
