Hey

Just joined (first post but been reading new biker forum a fair bit). I'm looking to get my licence as soon as possible however I'm stuck by two things. Firstly I haven't get a bike or licence up to now due to the cost but having left education and gone into work i'm finally able to work to earn enough (I've calculated around £2,000-£2,500 for everything including bike, licence, gear and insurance) but this money won't come to me until November at the latest (yay to waiting 60 days on an invoice....). Twin that with I am facing the convince the mother battle and can only guess at how long that can take unless I just balls it and buy the bike regardless.

My concern is that by the time I get round to either affording or being able to get a bike and all the other elements its going to be Jan and facing the new licencing laws. I was hoping someone could inform just how much harder/more expensive/longer it is to get a full licence. I've read through the new system, I'm 19 so figure I can already get the second part of my licence but still a little confused!

Any advice and clarification on this would be fantastic. Also could you guys just give me a yay or nay to that being roughly a good budget and if you know any decent saving tips ha!

Thank you!!
