being on line can be both good and bad. I've been with e-car and never had a problem but i never needed to claim.. took out the policy.. paid.. printed doc's.. job done. Claiming might have been a pain due to limited call centre staff but if you dont need to you can save a little.

Better be prepared to send copies of licence and proof of no claims. Even though you tick the boxes allowing them permission to contact both companies....

Other than that good from the point of view of updates of info don't get charged.

Same as any generically distributed, price comparator etc type broker.

Just checked and they use Groupama and Southern Rock as capacity providers. Checked the Groupama policy and it's pretty much standard fare no bells no whistles but no real obvious jump out and bite you exclusions etc. Southern Rock appear to be literally money men, ie not a mainstream composite insurer and as such claims service MAY suffer.

Edit: Found Southern Rock - Gibraltar based with a capital of £8m. Not exactly A+ rated on S&P would be my guess Laughing

There's some affiliation with Eldon Insurance Services who do their admin and claims handling so it's all a bit convoluted.

I like them. Everything online, no admin charges, easy to modify your policy. Click here for £40 off, Insha'Allah.

If taking a scan or picture of your license and emailing it to them seems like a lot of bother, look elsewhere though.
