Hi all,

I crashed my 99 600 Hornet last month and demolished the ignition barrel, clocks and snapped the Throttle Position Sensor. Since then it's been sitting while the insurance do their thing (Albeit very slowly.)

I ended up with a separate ignition barrel without a key and figured I could tie the two wires together and get the bike started. Once I connected it up, a bulb came on very briefly, followed by a popping noise (Fuse?) - and then the bulb went off again. Pressing the ignition would have the bike try to start, but it wouldn't kick in - just noises like it was trying.

Tried it a few times throughout the day but nothing. Am I missing something? or will the Hornet not start without the throttle position sensor connected to the carbs?

Note : I appreciate people don't like talking about this on a public forum, so if you have any idea on getting it started without an ignition, PM me if you'd rather.

Thanks as always

Anthony!

There's no HISS on it, no.
