Well, what kind of gloves?

Summer gloves, winter gloves, textile, leather, sports, street, short, long...

For some short summer gloves, I strongly recommend Triumph Newington gloves.

For warm winter gloves, the Spada Claw gloves are great.

Both under £30.

You won't get a decent pair of sports gloves for £30.

well as its coming up to winter time and i have to replace the gloves at this time. its probably best if i get some winter gloves.

when summer comes back around i can always get some new summer gloves.

i just cant wait to burn these pieces of crap after letting my dog shit all over them.

thats how pathetic they are lol

I don't know if you have a Hein Gericke near you but the Pathan 3 finger gloves are pretty unbeatable in winter. They're something stupid like £60 these days but they're knocking 30% off everything currently (at least they were when I went in at the weekend) which brings them a bit nearer to budget.

Can recommend them strongly for the price.

I just bought some brilliant gloves with kevlar from a market stall at Brighton Burn Up for £20. They are brilliant, totally worth the money. Thumbs Up

As a cheaper alternative, £25. I have these, crash protection would be minimal but by Jove they're cosy.

Along the same lines:
£23.
£25.
£36.

my god roger, those are truely fecking ugly LOL!

still, they do look warm, but doubt they'll offer any protection if any.

perhaps a larger budget is required. might be able to push £50 for winter gloves to protect too

I have Spada enforcers - cost about £50, pretty good winter glove by all accounts.

Buffalo Thermosport.
MCN's most waterproof gloves (I can vouch for that).
You can get them for £45-£50.

The boyfriend has these, and last winter when he was riding to work down the motorway by the time he got there he was nearly in tears from the cold in his hands, which has turned almost blue. I then ruined them at Paintball Embarassed They make good paintball gloves though Laughing

That would be true for any gloves in the middle of winter.

Tell him to get bar muffs.

Your budget is £30 for winter gloves and you are worried about looks?

You deserve frostbite.

Am I the only person who doesn't have any massive problems with cold hands?

I've also got the Spada Enforcers, and after about 40 miles my hands will be chilly, but I have yet to have them completely lock up on me. It's only ever happened to me twice, both times I was on my DAS course in the middle of December, and only have a pair of HG summer gloves.

I had a set of the buffalo ones

Did Derby to London via Milton Keynes (so down the A5), in january.

Air temp was hovering around zero so at 70mph the wind chill was -12.

Fucking cold, but could still feel my fingers at the end of the journey.

I don't but then again I have handguards, heated grips and those HG 3 finger jobbies.

I have 4 pairs of gloves in circulation ATM

Lightweight A* mesh things for the summer.
A* GP Pro gloves for colder summer days/hooning
Triumph waterproof gloves for autumn/winter
HG 3 Fingers for the coldest days.

I normally have a spare pair in my bag normally the next one up on the warm scale so I 'under dress' and change if needed. Currently I'm using the GP Pro's.

Rarely do I need more than lo on the grips and the Triumph Glovers.

I dunno, I just found that the most important thing is to layer up as much as possible. Keep your core warm, and there's less chance of getting frostbitten fingers, like. As long as the gloves are windproof and fairly rainproof (i.e. not perforated), I don't really have any massive problems in the cold.

Maybe I should write one of those 'winter for noobs' guides that seem to be all the rage Laughing

Literally that is worn on the coldest week of the year, I try to ware as little as possible I hate the feel of thick gloves I lose a bit of clutch control.

Fuck heated clothing I don't like being plugged in.

touche.

The only good things about having cold hands is when you come home and grab your missus' tits. They actually love it, don't let the screaming and kicking put you off.

Alternatively if you like more fight you can grab your sister's, or your mum's.
