i've done the A9 a few times.Its for me one of motoring's equivilent of purgurtory,like the m6 used to be doing manchester to glasgow30 years ago.

Like those pharosee's and lawmakers,i never learn.Everytime i travel up to Glenlivet I finally get there and swear on my funny heart that next time i'll pay the extra and fly to inverness instead.After hours of rural desolation you finally get to Avimore and are gratefull for the overpriced chips and cuppa's and the best public loo this side of Inverness.but its full of febs.

That s all very well and true Walloper,but i have spinal injuries and an irrational fear of piles,theres been lots of money and time spent recently and the scenery is beautifull.

Thats the problem for most motorists ,the cars are too comfy,withtele's and phones and dvd players and aircon,so the silly flkrs keep having accidents .I once took a train journey to mablethorpe on the eas t coast from manchester.half the journey seemed lost in this ever repeating landscap of cornfeilds and I understood how the germans felt when they realised how big eastern europe and western russia was.A9=disorientation
The A9 is like that and many mororists plan their journey and dont realise the actual physical demands involved.Dafter non scots thnk that once they've go to glasgow that everything else in scotland is a few hours away so when they t the A9 they re already burnt out and in need of a good rest,yet carry on.....and crash.

So what can we learn from this?

1) Don't speed, kittehs die.

2) Don't ask your neighbour to set a speed camera on fire for you. If you are going to set a speed camera on fire try and avoid driving past CCTV and ANPR en route.

3) Don't take your mobile phone with you if you are going to set a speed camera on fire.

4) If you disregard 3 and take your mobile with you when breaking the law. Don't film yourself breaking the law.
