My gears are sometimes becoming stuck when I get to a junction and I am pumping the gearshifter down but it won't change down. I can shift up fine but I just have to sit there pumping away at the shifter a while before it eventually goes down.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Do you change down whilst your still moving or do you try and change down once stopped?

You need to change down whilst your moving and preferably blip the throttle between downchanges.

It's only really when I am stationary after I have to do a fast stop for traffic lights/hazard.

I think the blipping throttle may help but I'm sure it never used to do this and it can't be normal.

Happens to me from time to time, best to shift down as you move.

If you are in that position though and it wont shift down, just release the clutch slightly so the bike moves forward a few inches and it should then shift ok then.

2nd to 1st or N seem ok, but 6th to 1st when stationary after say an E Stop takes a while for them all to clunk in.

The gear shifter needs to return to the 'rest' position before a change can be started.
It means tapping repeatedly to go up or down.

Also check the clutch adjustment.

This happens to me if I have to do an emergency stop or I am going too quick and have to stop for lights (happens quite often Laughing ). This works all the time everytime, I just release the clutch a bit whilst pumping on the lever and it should go down the gears fine.
