Come on A-9. If Cornish can get to Maidstone in a Ka/Paddling Pool from Mordor, or wherever it is, then you can make it on a young person's railcard from the Shires. Just repeat after me "All you can eat buffet...."...All you can eat buffet...."

Someone's going to have to make a decision. Don't look at me though, or you'll all end up taking tea in Fortnum's before popping into Harvey Nick's to catch this year's Christian LaCroix collection over a glass of Bolly...

How about Oxford again? People seem to be happy to travel there for the barbecue.

https://www.redhot-worldbuffet.com/redhot_miltonkeynes.html

Reasons why this would be a good location.

1. It is not far from London but northerer so north people can come.
2. It is an all you can eat buffet.
3. I live 2 miles away
4. There are various places to drink around that area I think.
5. Did I mention it is an all you can eat buffet.
6. Holiday Inn is less than a mile away

Yes, but it's in Milton Keynes, which is an automatic (and massive) black mark against it.

Have you still not sorted a replacement bike yet?

1. Black mark why? You are not moving there, only visiting for a meal and drinks.

2. No, I walk to work and save money on insurance. Very Happy

Dude, it's an oversize car park that's had a housing estate dropped on it. If I wanted to visit one of those, I could just go to Harlow; it's closer, the locals are slightly less prone to webbed fingers, and it's got the added bonus of not being Milton bloody Keynes. Laughing

Whilst I agree in principle, if you come for these drinks, you won't see a house, you will be getting pissed somewhere.

I like the idea of MK too. Red hot is ok and caters to most tastes, there are plenty of bars in MK and some decent hotels.

Gets my vote Thumbs Up

I like the sound of Oxford Wink

MK was good but makes it difficult to actually talk with people.

That is true. There are plenty of places to eat in MK, plenty of Italian restaurants and the like which are less packed then Red hot.

We can also go for drinks afterwards, which should make talking easier.

I like the idea of MK, a few people (myself included) seem to live nearby and it seems fairly central to most people that want to go.
