This pub has just been taken over by a friend of mine...he is a biker....owns the daddy to my XJR400....and is going to make the pub into a bikers pub......which is great news for us!!

So what about Thursday night meets there?

Just a little announcement to tell you all why I've been away for a while and that is this ..................

My fiance (soon to be wife) and I have been in negotiations with Everards of Leicester to run one of their pubs. We were successful and got the pub we wanted. It is The Horseshoe Pub in Oakham near Rutland Water about 20 miles directly east of Leicester. It has a huge car park which is ideal for bike nights and meets

The brewery are keen to allow us to generate new trade so I think that mentioning bike nights and hopefully rallies/parties in the future really sold it to them.

We were also thinking of a fixed official Horseshoe bike night and we were umming and ahhing between Monday and Thursday, so Thursday it is then!!. I take over on Wednesday 19th so we can have the first bike night as early as the next day.

Where abouts in Oakham is it?

I got lost yesterday when I went to a ride to Melton from Loughborough ended up in Tilton, Little Dalby, Oakham, took ages to get home!

I've heard of the pub, but I can't remember where in Oakham it is... I don't think its on the main drag through the town...
